The highest paying positions in Digital Marketing are Digital Marketing Director and Head of E-Commerce with salaries of more than $200,000. A UX/UI Designer can earn $115,000 to $150,000 and a Social Media Manager up to $120,000 while a Marketing Analyst can earn between $70,000 to $90,000.

Digital marketing roles are in high demand. In 2025, the top 5 in-demand roles are Social Media Manager, Web Designer, SEO Expert, Digital Marketing Expert and Digital.

No, you do not need a degree to become a marketing professional. In fact, many employers will favour experience over formal qualifications. Being immersed in a marketing environment is often the best way of consolidating both the soft and technical skills required in a marketing career. This includes a strong command of language and high attention to detail, combined with the technical expertise required to perform in a modern organization. 

With that being said, a marketing degree – such as a BA in digital marketing – will undoubtedly give you a competitive edge.
