Our client is seeking a Workstation on Wheels Tech in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Role Description
In a healthcare context, a WOW is a mobile workstation, often a computer, monitor, keyboard, and power system mounted on a mobile cart, used in clinical areas. These are also called “COWs” (computer on wheels) but many facilities prefer “WOW” (workstation on wheels) to avoid confusion or unintended connotations.
While at the client’s location, the responsibilities will include:
• Delivering and unwrapping the carts, cleaning the work area, and disposing of packaging materials
• Ensuring each cart is ready for deployment and meets the specifications of the receiving department (e.g., Pediatrics cart specs)
• Delivering the carts to the appropriate departments
• Instructing users on cart operation when needed
• Providing on-site support as required
• Safely transporting equipment, the technician must have excellent driving skills, as he/she will be responsible for driving the van that transports the
equipment
• Being physically capable of safely loading and unloading the equipment from the van
• Being organized, and capable of managing inventory effectively
