Hays has partnered with a rapidly growing clean energy infrastructure provider to recruit a Vice President of Engineering. This is a rare opportunity to join a high‑growth organization delivering on‑site energy projects for commercial and institutional clients across several U.S. markets.
You’ll step into a senior leadership role focused on strengthening engineering delivery as project size and complexity increase.

Your new role

As VP of Engineering, you will lead a multi‑discipline engineering team through early design, technical reviews, construction support, and commissioning. A key part of the role is building and enforcing scalable engineering processes, including stage‑gated design workflows, QA/QC standards, and improved handoffs into procurement and construction.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and external partners to ensure engineering outputs are accurate, buildable, and delivered on schedule.

What you'll need to succeed

• 10-15+ years in engineering for energy, power, or infrastructure projects

• Leadership experience within EPC, design‑build, or complex project delivery environments

• Strong technical fundamentals across electrical/mechanical/controls

• Proven ability to build or improve engineering processes

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, lean environment
