Hays Facilities Management has partnered with a leading Fintech company to hire a Vice President of Facilities Engineering to be based on Long Island, NY.

Your new role

The duties of the VP of Facilities Engineering will include, among others:

- Oversight of 8 manufacturing sites, including 2 in Canada, totaling more than 3 million sq. ft.

- Be an onsite presence at their manufacturing site on Long Island, (Suffolk County), 5 days a week

- Maintain a 24x7 mission-critical environment through Preventive Maintenance activities, work order allocation, labor allocation, hiring and employee development

- Project management, vendor management, space planning, commissioning/decommissioning, and strong understanding of MEP, generators, UPS, and HVAC systems

- Manage budget and report into executive-level stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:

- Extensive experience in MEP and manufacturing FM, including mission-critical operations in a 24x7 environment

- More than 12 years’ experience is ideal for this role, operating at this level or just below it

- Experience with large Capex projects, ability to vet and manage vendors and technical staff, with oversight in a variety of States and in Canada

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is desired. However, those with former hands-on industry-related trades and strong backgrounds will also be considered

- ***Must be onsite 5 days a week in Suffolk County, LI, no exception to this***

- Ability to travel to Domestic and Canadian sites, with travel estimated at 25% for the first year
