Our client is seeking a VBA BSA in Vienna, VA/Hybrid
Role Description
• Reverse engineer complex Excel (Automated) Workbooks to compile and document data, business processes, business requirements and workflow to support future transformation to other platforms
• Support day to day functions of Excel workbooks for business partners as modifications are requested or issues arise
• Research, write, and support the development of talking points, scripts, emails, and speeches for internal communications for leadership
• Experience in drafting and editing medium and small-scale communication campaigns
• Demonstrated executive maturity and an ability to work effectively with senior executives
• Familiar with of change management principles and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and manage multiple projects concurrently and meet changing requirements and priorities to accomplish goals
• Effective copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, including extensive print and online writing and editorial experience
• Effective relationship-building skills
• Effective presentation skills
• Effective skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
Skills & Requirements
• Level of experience: 10+ years
• Expert experience in Visual Basic for Application (VBA) language, specifically within Excel
• Advanced knowledge Financial Account Reconciliation concepts
• Expert skill identifying and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutions
• Expert experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues when issues arise with automated workbooks
• Leading collaborative work teams including analytical and business partnerships
• Leading large projects/initiatives which have business risk and impact
• Managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
• organizational, planning and time management skills
• A Business Analyst evaluates overall performance, identifies areas for improvement, leveraging digital analytics to optimize business systems and processes and creates strategies to help the business become more efficient.
• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills
• Knowledge of business process modeling and system integration
• 10+ years relative experience
• Strong VBA, specifically within Excel, experience (5+ years - recent)
financial experience (especially if they've worked in financial reconciliation before. Think audits, accounting departments, fraud detection departments. They are going to make sure that the internal financial records - from VBA, mostly excel - match the external records like bank statements and are accurate.
• Experience with legacy systems support and transformation
