Traveling Superintendent – Ground-Up Commercial Construction

A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to manage ground-up commercial projects across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to delivering high-quality builds on time and on budget.

Your new role

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to ensure efficient workflow
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or issues
  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain detailed project documentation
  • Communicate regularly with project managers and stakeholders
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project budgets and timelines
  • Manage logistics and site setup for remote project locations

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with construction management software and reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
