Traveling Project Superintendent

A well-established Florida-based general contractor is seeking a Project Superintendent with proven experience in ground-up grocery store construction. This role requires travel throughout the state and offers the opportunity to lead high-profile retail builds from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up grocery store projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety protocols, and local codes
  • Conduct daily site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reporting
  • Lead pre-construction and pre-installation meetings with trades and suppliers
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve field issues and maintain momentum

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of superintendent experience in
    Ground-up commercial construction
  • Direct experience with grocery store builds (e.g., Publix, Aldi, Sprouts) is required.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Florida as needed
  • Strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project a plus
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
