Position Overview

The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities for ground-up projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate will have experience with multifamily mid- to high-rise projects, but candidates with other ground-up commercial experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily field operations on assigned job sites across the Southeast
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Maintain and update project schedules in collaboration with the project management team
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control measures
  • Lead job site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Identify and resolve field issues to avoid delays and cost overruns

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects
  • Experience with multifamily mid- to high-rise projects strongly preferred
  • Will consider candidates with other ground-up commercial construction experience (e.g., hospitality, retail, mixed-use)
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeastern U.S.
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 30
  • First Aid/CPR
  • LEED or other relevant certifications
