Your new role

As Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of heavy civil projects—from bid preparation through client acceptance. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and field operations while ensuring compliance with design and safety standards. Responsibilities include:
  • Setting project objectives and performance metrics.
  • Coordinating with superintendents and field teams to maintain progress.
  • Managing financial aspects of contracts and client relationships.
  • Preparing detailed estimates and reviewing drawings/specifications.
  • Leading onsite functions: scheduling, engineering, material control, and craft supervision.
  • Driving productivity, resource efficiency, and change order management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years in heavy civil project management, estimating, or field supervision.
  • Expertise in earthwork, concrete, and pipeline/mechanical construction methods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and project management tools (Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob, Procore).
  • PE or PMP preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate within Texas.
