Your new role
As a Traveling Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support the execution of solar and battery storage projects across Texas. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate subcontractors, track schedules, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to project sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with daily project coordination, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Maintain project documentation using Procore and Bluebeam
- Support schedule tracking and look-ahead planning (P6/MS Project)
- Interface with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and QA/QC standards
What you'll need to succeed
- 1–3 years of experience in civil, renewable, or industrial construction
- Willingness to travel (per diem + lodging provided)
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools (P6/MS Project a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
