Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator Coral Gables, FL.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Administrator to support and manage enterprise RIS platforms in a 24x7 healthcare environment. This role is a critical RIS-focused role with a strong emphasis on Siemens Syngo Workflow, HL7 interfacing, and SQL-based reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, operational flexibility, and a collaborative mindset to support radiology operations and integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to RIS (Radiology Information System) related issues via phone, text, ServiceNow (SNOW), and email, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
• Accurately assess, analyze, and troubleshoot reported issues; coordinate with internal T&D teams and external vendors to achieve full resolution.
• Assign Corporate ID numbers within one hour of initial contact for BHSF South and Bethesda locations.
• Resolve order issues and transaction errors, including troubleshooting hung or delayed transactions, restarting processes, and engaging vendors as necessary.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other T&D teams and vendors for RIS and other supported applications (e.g., Careport, WellSky, pMD, Teletracking, OmniMD).
• Issue system downtime notifications via email and Microsoft Teams channels to ensure broad awareness and minimize disruption.
• Initiate Major Incident Management (MIM) processes as needed.
• Participate in after-hours system patching, change management events, and system validation activities.
• Support integrated testing for Pineapp , ad-hoc testing initiatives and new imaging services.
• Configure and support Modality Worklist (MWL) and Modality Performed Procedure Step (MPPS); coordinate vendor sessions, test order entry, and connectivity validation.
• Lead project initiatives, maintain meeting minutes, manage task lists, and update documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• STAR RADIOLOGY-User management, Build/Test New orders in PROD and Non-Prod environments, configure Printers & Result support
• After hours on-call from 5pm-830am (bi-weekly rotation)

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting RIS systems in large enterprise healthcare environments, with a focus on Siemens Syngo Workflow and/or Altera-Star Radiology.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 interface management, RIS-to-EMR integrations, and billing system connectivity.
• Proficient in SQL query writing and report generation to support clinical and operational reporting needs.
• Must have strong troubleshooting and support skills, including ticket resolution, admin-level system support, on-site issue handling, and experience with ticketing systems and documentation
• Deep understanding of radiology workflows, including modality integration, worklist configuration, and i-docs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (If they speak Spanish, it’s a plus!)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, with a willingness to support after-hours work and on-call rotations.
