Your New Role
As a Supervising Mechanical Engineer Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering projects, leading coordination meetings, managing staff, and ensuring project completion. This role requires strong technical skills and experience in healthcare and other specialized facilities. You will be the Engineer of Record on dedicated projects and represent the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead coordination meetings.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and staff.
  • Provide periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluations.
  • Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in business unit technical training and staff mentoring.
  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
  • Coordinate with accounting to prepare monthly project invoices.
  • Monitor project accounts receivable and contact clients as needed to expedite payment.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • PE licensed Engineer.
  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical design for MEP systems.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with managing people and projects.
  • Experience in QA/QC.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
