Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Location: Orlando, FL Experience Level: 5+ Years Required

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for complex vertical construction projects in the public and institutional sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing ground-up and renovation projects for educational facilities, municipal buildings, public safety complexes, and other government-funded developments. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily job site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain project schedule and milestones
  • Conduct daily site inspections and enforce compliance with building codes, contract documents, and safety regulations.
  • Lead progress meetings with project managers, architects, engineers, and owner representatives
  • Manage logistics, material deliveries, and site access in active environments such as schools or public facilities
  • Monitor and document project progress, RFIs, punch lists, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project management team during preconstruction and buyout phases to identify scope gaps and sequencing strategies.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspections and certifications for occupancy
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction
  • Strong understanding of public sector project requirements, including DSA, AHCA, or similar regulatory bodies
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling tools and field reporting software
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety credentials preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams
  • Experience working in occupied facilities or phased construction environments is a plus.

  • K–12 schools, higher education campuses, public safety buildings, government offices, libraries, and civic centers
  • LEED or sustainable building practices
  • CMAR or Design-Build delivery methods
