Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for complex vertical construction projects in the public and institutional sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing ground-up and renovation projects for educational facilities, municipal buildings, public safety complexes, and other government-funded developments. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily job site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain project schedule and milestones
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce compliance with building codes, contract documents, and safety regulations.
- Lead progress meetings with project managers, architects, engineers, and owner representatives
- Manage logistics, material deliveries, and site access in active environments such as schools or public facilities
- Monitor and document project progress, RFIs, punch lists, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with project management team during preconstruction and buyout phases to identify scope gaps and sequencing strategies.
- Ensure timely completion of inspections and certifications for occupancy
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction
- Strong understanding of public sector project requirements, including DSA, AHCA, or similar regulatory bodies
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
- Familiarity with construction scheduling tools and field reporting software
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety credentials preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams
- Experience working in occupied facilities or phased construction environments is a plus.

- K–12 schools, higher education campuses, public safety buildings, government offices, libraries, and civic centers
- LEED or sustainable building practices
- CMAR or Design-Build delivery methods
