Location: Jacksonville, FL

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of commercial general contracting experience and proven expertise in ground-up healthcare construction projects compliant with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) standards. The ideal candidate will lead field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all field operations for healthcare construction projects from groundbreaking to closeout.
  • Ensure strict compliance with AHCA regulations and healthcare construction standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and quality.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Lead and enforce site-specific safety plans and corporate safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial general contracting.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up healthcare projects under AHCA guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and healthcare facility requirements.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers, or long-term care facilities.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and interim life safety measures (ILSM).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously.
