Structural Superintendent needed for parking and large high rise structures!

My client is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent with strong structural experience to oversee multifamily and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing ground-up builds, structural framing, and complex site logistics. This role is responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from foundation through final turnover.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all on-site construction efforts with a focus on structural integrity and quality control
  • Manage daily operations including subcontractor coordination, inspections, and progress tracking
  • Oversee structural components such as foundations, framing, concrete, steel, and load-bearing systems
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to guide field execution
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and local building codes
  • Maintain and update project schedules, identifying and resolving delays proactively
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs to monitor workmanship and adherence to plans
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison between project management, trades, and inspectors
  • Document daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and city officials to ensure smooth project delivery


Qualifications
  • Minimum 7–10 years of superintendent experience in residential or multifamily construction
  • Strong background in structural systems including wood frame, concrete, and steel construction
  • High school diploma required; degree in construction management or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in construction software
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
