Our client is seeking a Staff Software Engineer Test in Mountain View, CA.
Job Responsibilities
• We are seeking a Staff Software Test Engineer, to design, implement, and test embedded software for our clients automotive infotainment platform software.
• The ideal candidate is a high achiever who thrives on exploring uncharted territories, challenging the status quo, and championing new ideas. As a member of our client engagement technical team, you will also interface with multiple stakeholders of clients Group’s technical team members.
• We are seeking a skilled and collaborative engineer to lead the development and execution of automated testing for embedded applications.
• This role is responsible for designing and developing automated test scripts, creating script packages, and maintaining Docker environments for test execution.
• You will build and manage CI/CD pipelines for test automation, execute functional, performance, and stress tests, and review and publish test results.
• Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans, managing test case systems, automating test planning and execution workflows, and working closely with development teams to debug and resolve issues.
• The ideal candidate will also define and integrate automated test pipelines into the broader development workflow and communicate technical updates, challenges, and solutions effectively across software, hardware, and program management teams.
• BS in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years in software validation and system test leadership
• Strong proficiency in Python (Pytest) and automation framework development
• Extensive experience testing embedded Linux and Android applications
• 4+ years with Docker and Jenkins for CI/CD automation
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, DOIP, Ethernet) and application protocols (UDS, Some IP)
• Hands-on experience with USB, UART, SPI, I2C interfaces
• Proficient in tools such as Canoe, PCAN, Wireshark, and Packet Sender
• Experience with Android CTS and Monkey testing
• Expertise in building data-driven automation frameworks and test management tools like TestRail or Xray
• Skilled in developing system and subsystem-level test plans and reports
What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position?
• Strong proficiency in Python (Pytest) and automation framework development
• Extensive experience testing embedded Linux and Android applications
