Our client is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer in Orlando, FL

Role Description

• Support photo imaging software applications on Disney Cruise Line ships
• Provide shoreside production support for onboard photo systems
• Resolve Guest incidents and requests from DCL Guest Support for photo applications
• Assist with post-cruise application data transfers from ship to shoreside
• Monitor application software events in production
• Configure application monitoring tools and alerts in the production environment
• Conduct pre-cruise preparation by loading application meta data, itinerary, and products to be sold on ship and other setup functions
• Ensure applications are compliant with Disney security policies
• Debug, identify and apply workarounds to abnormal application code terminations and production errors, while determining root cause
• Document support procedures for existing and newly developed application components
• Follow established protocols for software development, installation and maintenance
• Interact and coordinate software development deliverables with other technical groups in the organization
• Perform acceptance testing of new feature releases of vendor developed software
• Coordinate with vendors on application defects and resolution of testing issues
• Deploy application software to test environments and shipboard servers
• Maintain applications and related data in shoreside test environments
• Participate in design and functional requirement definition for software enhancements and improvements to onboard photo software applications.

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software application development and support
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with developers to resolve requirement questions
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to build strong partnerships with developers and product managers
• Experience supporting Windows applications and services
• Proficiency with application monitoring tools, such as Grafana, Splunk, Log Insight, and AppDynamics
• Experience with CI/CD build and deploy tools, such as Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Jira, SQL, ServiceNow, Kubernetes, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Knowledge of technical infrastructure, including basic network services (load balancers, DNS, DHCP)
• May need to work outside of 8A-5P hours.
• May be required to attend cruise.
• Likely to convert, Must have bachelors degree.
