Our client is seeking a Sr. Manager, Business Development in San Francisco, CA.

Role Description

Responsibilities:
• Generating new business from new customers through a high level of customer outreach and contact including customer visits and extensive networking activities.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and effectively promote Nona Biosciences’ technical capabilities and specialties. Provide solution based consultative selling to meet customer needs.
• Maintain existing customers through trust-based relationships and high quality customer support.
• Collaborate with marketing, project managers and production team to develop strategies that promote customer acquisition and retention.
• Collect market intelligence with information gathering and trend analysis on the industry, pricing, and competition.
• Collect, analyze and track competitors’ information and business move, help make departmental strategic plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in sales or business development within a preclinical CRO, or equivalent experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry involving collaboration with CROs, supported by a scientific background.
• Based in the Bay Area, with strong familiarity with the local biotech/pharmaceutical landscape and an existing network of industry contacts and client relationships.
• Experience with antibody drug discovery and protein engineering is a plus
• Master’s degree required, advanced degree in science or commensurate experience is preferred (e.g. PhD, MBA)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with customers and key stakeholders, good conflict management skills
• Demonstrate ability to translate strategy into action, strong influence, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• High energy level with strong drive to constantly improving; self-motivated.
• Strong team player
• Ability to travel
