Your new role

As a Senior Building Engineer supporting a pharmaceutical site in Van Nuys, you will manage and maintain critical building systems including HVAC, RO/WFI, and ammonia refrigeration. You’ll lead preventive and corrective maintenance, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and environmental regulations. This role requires technical leadership and a strong focus on reliability and safety.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Facilities Engineering (preferred)
• 6+ years of experience in building engineering or facilities management, ideally in GMP-regulated environments
• Expertise in HVAC, RO/WFI systems, and ammonia refrigeration
• CIRO certification (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CMMS, automation systems, and compliance standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
