Our client is seeking a Sr Site Reliability Engineer in Orlando, FL
Role Description
• The Disney Signature Experiences Site Reliability Engineering (DSE SRE) team supports a portfolio of 500 applications across 20+ businesses, including Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, Disney Vacation Club, Storyliving by Disney, and others.
• The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design, develop, and sustain high-quality processes and automation to address engineering gaps and growth.
• Using an “integration before invention” strategy, the Lead Software Engineer will seek to understand points of failure in our guest experiences, and work to deliver the best possible tooling for our Application & Operations teams to improve efficiency, prevent problems before they happen, and quickly resolve “unmagical technology moments” for our Guests, Cast Members, and Crew Members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
Skills & Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience
• Proficient in agile environments
• Applied understanding of observability principles using relevant tools
• Hands-on experience with CI tools like Gitlab-CI, Harness, and Azure DevOps
• Proficient in configuration management tools: Ansible and Group Policy
• Experience in procedural programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell)
• Skilled in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Collaborative in building reliable, scalable enterprise systems
• Capable of identifying root causes in large-scale distributed systems
• Proficient in Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security
• Leading technical projects and ensuring smooth delivery
• Collaborative work with Security Operations teams for secure solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, network, and code
• Proficiency in Automation and Visibility Instrumentation, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologies
• Bachelors or Equiv. Exp.
• A proven track record in maintaining strong cross-team relationships.
• A wide breadth of industry knowledge incorporating full-stack architectures, enabling you to understand complex systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Proficient at using modern code-management practices to work on multiple branches and merge code with peer developers.
• Experience integrating with commercial and open-source monitoring and telemetry platforms.
