Our client is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Engineer / Architect in Washington, D.C.

Role Description

We are seeking a strategic, highly skilled IT professional to join our team as a Senior Unified Communications Engineer / Architect. This role demands deep expertise in Cisco technologies, complemented by experience with other platforms, and the vision to help shape the future of enterprise communications architecture.As part of our team, you will work in a secure environment alongside senior technologists who understand the operational landscape and value long-term, customer-focused solutions. This position offers the opportunity to influence organizational IT strategy and deliver robust, scalable, and secure communications systems.

• Maintain and enhance the health, performance, and security of complex voice and video architectures.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop organization-wide IT strategies.
• Lead and evolve enterprise architecture programs to align with business objectives.
• Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshooting networks and related technologies.
• Analyze call flows and optimize the Unified Communications (UC) environment in coordination with network, security, and cloud teams.
• Develop system specifications, architecture designs, integration plans, test procedures, and comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance requirements and maintain security posture.
• Design and manage UC infrastructure, including endpoints, servers, gateways, border controllers, conferencing solutions, and transcoders.
• Drive network automation initiatives and manage complex deployments through automation tools.

Skills & Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
• Active TS/SCI clearance (Preferably with Poly)
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Ability to commute to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Monday–Friday
• Cisco CCIE Voice or Unified Communications certification
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and UC technologies
