A well-established general contractor is seeking a seasoned Commercial Superintendent to lead ground-up construction projects in the Charlotte area. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a proven track record of managing large-scale commercial builds valued at $20 million or more.

Your new role

• Oversee all phases of ground-up commercial construction from site prep to final turnover
• Manage daily jobsite operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain workflow and productivity
• Conduct regular site meetings and communicate progress with project managers and stakeholders
• Enforce safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance across all site activities
• Review and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
• Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and adherence to project budgets

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent on ground-up projects
• Proven success managing projects valued at $20M+
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and safety protocols
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with construction management software and reporting tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
