Senior Project Manager for mixed-commercial projects in DC

Northern Virginia based general contractor seeking to hire a strong pipeline of mixed commercial construction projects. This a permanent, long-term career position with a genuine career path into a Project Executive or Director level within the next 2-3 years based on performance. Your new role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be site-based working alongside an established and successful field and project management on significant, high-profile projects in Northern Virginia and DC. If you are passionate about working on large, complex commercial construction projects this is an excellent opportunity for you to apply to!
You will be responsible for running the project management program for your assigned projects, working closely with the field management team. You will report into a Project Executive who is office based and will therefore be the most senior person on-site representing the company.
Projects will be in the range of $80M - $200M and could involve base build, repositioning or major renovations. You will lead a team of up to 6 including comprising of APMs, Project Engineers and the field team.
What you need to succeed:
- 8-15 years of Construction working for a General Contractor. Professionals working outside of a general contractor will not be considered for this particular position.
- Experienced in leading projects across a range of mixed commercial construction projects including new build and complex renovations.
- A construction related degree such as engineering, architecture or construction management is desired but not essential.
- Experienced in managing a successful project team comprising of assistant project managers, project engineers and field staff.
- Comfortable in working in Northern Virginia and DC.
