Senior Project Engineer required by $45m+ General Contractor specializing in Interiors projects

Your new company

Our client is a growing $45m + General Contractor specializing in interior upgrade and tenant improvement projects across a portfolio of Retail, Hospitality, Commercial & Medical Office clients. To support this growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting high-profile construction projects in the $100k - $3m budget range. This position offers the opportunity for hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship while ensuring seamless project execution for their valued clients. The position will be based at the HQ in Petaluma, CA with a mixture of on-site and office hours.


Your new role

As the Senior Project Engineer supporting multiple construction projects, you will

  • Support the Project Manager to facilitate strong communication between Superintendents, Project Engineers & Accounting

  • Train and mentor junior Project Engineers while leading monthly team meetings

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and quality assurance

  • Ensure timely payments, accurate project files, and adherence to contract terms

  • Leverage industry software (Procore, Viewpoint, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) for efficient project tracking


What you'll need to succeed

3+ years of construction experience with a solid understanding of project management.

✅ Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint, Procore
✅ Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
✅ A team-oriented mindset with a customer-first approach
