Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager / IT Program Manager in Tampa, FL.

Role description

• Plan and manage the implementation of projects or program components, and ensure high quality delivery within scope, budget, and schedule without losing sight of the project's business goals.
• Ensure identification and full integration of all workstreams and dependencies, which may be performed by globally dispersed team members, and which encompass technical, business process, and organizational change readiness work.
• Communicate timely project information, issues, risks, or status to the various stakeholders through appropriate methods and channels. This position reports to the Global IT PMO. The ideal candidate will have 12 or more years of technology experience, of which at least 8 solid years or more are in project or program management practice. Working environment: very complex, globally distributed organization on multiple timezones, with diverse, multi-cultural stakeholders. As such, travel as well as adjustments to working hours may be required from time to time.
• In performing these key responsibilities, the Senior PM is expected to adhere to the Global IT Project Framework and apply best practices in the knowledge areas of project management as follows
o Integration Management: Identify, analyze, and synchronize all cross functional and global integration and communication touchpoints for the project.
o Manage project changes. Address or escalate issues that may impact the successful outcome of the project.
o Scope, schedule, and cost management - the most fundamental of PM disciplines which include the following responsibilities
o Establish and manage project and product scope boundaries.
o Establish credible schedules with effort-based, resourced tasks or activities, regularly statuses, with managed critical path.
o Establish and manage time-phased project budget with regular variance analysis and re-forecasting.
o Resource Management: Manage and motivate project staff, allocate appropriate people to project roles, taking into consideration all the complexities of working on a major global project with a diverse team.
• Some specific tasks include: Understand the expertise required by the project, acquire these resources externally (following resourcing procedures) or internally (working with IT Program Leader, Development Leader, and Quality Assurance Leader).Manage complex resourcing issues that accompany shared or non-dedicated resources, matrixed resources or resources with no direct reporting relationship.
• Manage virtual teams with a mixture of onshore and offshore team members, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Risk management - identify and assess risks, develop risk response plans based on impact and probability of occurrence. When necessary, exercise quantitative risk assessments on critical risks.
• Communication and Stakeholder management o Establish and execute a communication plan that considers the information needs of the team, key stakeholders and others who have a vested interest in the project.
• Apply stakeholder management techniques to address resistance and gain support for the project.
• Adhere to project governance reporting requirements.
• Quality management: Adopt appropriate project quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement activities throughout the project life cycle.

Skills & Requirements

• 10+ years of Project Management / Program Management experience in very large, highly complex, distributed enterprise environments
o Let’s make this individual is coming from recognizable Fortune 500 organizations
• Must possess expertise in SDLC
• Must possess proven experience and proficiency serving as a Scrum Master role (inclusive of proven experience overseeing Agile ceremonies)
• Must possess proven experience budgeting / forecasting and managing project budgets
• Must possess vendor management experience (vendor evaluation and selection experience highly preferred)
• Must possess experience facilitating and leading meetings with stakeholders (internal and external) at the highest level (inclusive of C-Suite)
• Must possess strong proficiency w/ MS PowerPoint (inclusive of proven experience creating presentations and decks for leadership)
• Must possess experience w/ either Azure Dev Ops (preferred) or Jira
• PMI PMP certification required
• Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
