Our client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for Atlanta, GA/Hybrid

Role Description

The Senior IT Project Manager leads complex, enterprise level initiatives that support retail and franchise ecosystems. This role focuses on large-scale, multi-location programs that require tight coordination across technology, vendors, procurement, logistics, and franchise stakeholders to ensure initiatives land successfully across a highly distributed footprint.
Operating in a cost conscious, margin sensitive environment, this role emphasizes disciplined execution, cross functional alignment, and consistent rollout delivery—often across hundreds of locations—while minimizing disruption at the store level. Retail partnership experience is required. Restaurant industry experience is considered a plus but is not required.

• Lead IT and technology enabled initiatives from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met
• Own end to end project planning, including timelines, financials, dependencies, risks, and execution readiness
• Partner closely with retail business stakeholders, franchise partners, and external vendors to define requirements and ensure successful delivery
• Coordinate cross functional execution across technology teams, procurement, logistics, and third party providers to support large scale, multi-site rollouts
• Manage initiatives supporting distributed store environments, including deployments that impact hundreds of locations
• Drive stakeholder alignment and buy in for programs that require upfront coordination and sequencing to execute effectively at scale
• Lead delivery teams to ensure solutions meet quality standards through test planning, execution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Facilitate UAT, rollout planning, and go live readiness to ensure smooth store level execution
• Prepare executive level status reporting, cost benefit analyses, and risk assessments
• Navigate delivery in a dynamic operating environment influenced by cost pressures, supply chain considerations, and execution timing
• Ensure adherence to project governance, SDLC, and delivery standards
• Present regularly to executive sponsors and steering committees

Skills and Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• PMP certification (required)
• 10+ years of progressive, senior level IT project management experience
• Proven experience partnering with retail organizations or retail technology ecosystems (required)
• Experience leading complex, multi-location initiatives involving vendors, procurement, or external partners
• Strong cross functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in fast changing, cost sensitive environments
• Strong risk management, problem solving, and communication skills
• Experience delivering enterprise scale technology and business solutions across multi platform environments
• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience supporting restaurant, hospitality, or franchise based organizations
