Our client is seeking a Senior Interface Engineer in Coral Gables, FL.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced EPIC Bridges Integration Specialist to join our healthcare IT team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between EPIC and external systems to ensure seamless data exchange across clinical and financial platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in HL7 messaging, interface troubleshooting, and healthcare data integration, along with a strong understanding of networking protocols and HIPAA compliance.
You will work closely with technical teams, clinical stakeholders, and third-party vendors to support live connections, resolve interface issues, and contribute to the overall stability and performance of our integration environment. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and technical execution.

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of EPIC Bridges experience & must have certification; Corepoint knowledge is a plus
• Must have expert level knowledge of HL7 messaging standards (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU) and healthcare data integration across financial and clinical systems
• Must possess strong technical and troubleshooting skills, including interface monitoring, incident resolution, and documentation
• Must possess strong understanding of networking protocols (VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, HTTP) and HL7 data structures
• Must possess excellent communication skills, with experience in HIPAA-compliant environments and a proactive approach to support
• 5 + years of EPIC Bridge experience. COREPOINT is a plus. Epic Bridge certified
• Create and execute solutions for integrating financial and clinical data across multiple systems.
• Expert with HL7 messages formats (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, RDE, MDM, SIU, etc.).
• Ability to understand data structures and technical specifications detailing data elements and HL7 message structures.
• Must have basic networking knowledge of networking and different connectivity solutions (VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.).
• Ability to respond to ad hoc user interface questions
• Provide proactive support by monitoring live connections.
• Responsible for creating/maintaining overall interface environment documentation.
• Must possess strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills in order to resolve complex HL7 interface issues as they arise.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks based on severity of user impact.
• Must be able to resolve major incidents within the established time limits.
• Experience working in a healthcare HIPAA compliant environment.
• Must be able to work independently and in team environments.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to receive and share knowledge with peers.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of computer systems, software, decision support systems, monitoring, report writing tools and electronic communication
