Senior Energy Engineer

Your new role
  • Lead the development, analysis, and implementation of energy efficiency and sustainability projects
  • Perform and manage detailed Level I, II, and III energy audits of MUSH facilities
  • Conduct energy calculations and review partner‑provided data for accuracy
  • Develop proposals, RFP responses, and financial models to support project success
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical/HVAC, electrical, renewable, water, and building envelope systems
  • Evaluate utility tariffs, rebates, and incentives to maximize project value
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to strengthen competitive bids
  • Communicate with clients to align proposals with needs, budgets, and expectations
  • Attend RFP walk‑throughs and act as a trusted advisor throughout the process
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Energy, or related Engineering discipline
  • Strong expertise in mechanical/HVAC and electrical systems, plus renewable technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience reading plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with strong financial and analytical skills
  • Preferred: Experience with school districts, EPCs, and NYSED projects
  • Preferred: Energy modeling experience
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential
