Your new role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading electrical design activity, managing projects and teams, and supporting clients throughout the full project lifecycle. The position combines hands‑on technical design with project coordination, mentoring, and construction administration responsibilities.
You will work closely with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines from early design through construction, while helping to guide junior staff and contribute to overall project success.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and manage electrical design projects and engineering teams

• Coordinate and design building electrical systems in line with applicable codes and standards

• Prepare electrical design calculations, including loads, equipment sizing, feeders, and voltage drop

• Produce construction documents, engineering reports, and technical specifications

• Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs during construction

• Support construction administration and perform job site observations as required

• Coordinate with clients, architects, vendors, contractors, building officials, and consultants

• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers

• Assist with proposals, project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical presentations

• Participate in client, project, and design coordination meetings
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (NY and/or NJ)

• Strong experience designing electrical systems for building projects

• Solid knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and electrical equipment standards

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus

• Experience with electrical design and power analysis software is a plus

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

• Valid driver’s license
