Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management
in Raleigh, NC

Role Description

They are working on the "Big Picture" of the future of enterprise risk management, and what this client does, touches the lives of millions of people. They are looking for a strong Senior Business Analyst, someone that is a key change-maker, someone to lead the definition of stakeholder needs, existing system processes and data analysis resulting in next-generation experiences for organizations staff and its members.
This Senior Business Analyst will work as a strategic enterprise risk management PMO, They will be “process mission control” helping project management to plan and execute exciting projects across risk functions including compliance, fraud, internal investigations, privacy and more. These projects are holistic in nature and require top talent to know the intricate needs of each business function as well as related technology platform roll-out.
This person will be playing a pivotal role in evolving the organization to adopting leading-edge operations and accountability. They will also have key operational responsibilities leading the department forecast and delivering key governance analysis to help mature the organization.
At this company, the Senior Business Analyst will have the opportunity to influence the direction of financial services. This means collaborating across teams, evangelizing change and providing clear communication as you manage the requirements, process management and key deliverable creation on highly impactful, pragmatic, strategic business projects for your stakeholders and customers.

• Discover, analyze and sequence business processes to help understand the current “As Is” and define the “To Be” states for function buildout and multi-million dollar, transformative initiatives
• Build relationships & collaborate with business owners, capturing the “Voice of the Customer” by writing, grooming and prioritizing value-driven user stories
• Produce process flows, mockups, user interface designs and other usability visuals as well as data field, migration and integration-related data mapping deliverables
• Identify key dependencies and use critical thinking to align external partner Waterfall-based solutions within the Agile life cycle processes resulting in consistent delivery rhythm
• Lead user acceptance testing to ensure stories and Waterfall-based project requirements are validated with any defects captured and resolved
• Assist in producing training, operational guides and job aid documentation for process rollouts and system implementations, and lead user training sessions as part of go-live activities
• Create reports and key insight analyses for high visibility projects as well as coordinate and lead meetings to assist project and program-level needs
• Use quantitative data to optimize existing or new process solution suggestions
• Utilizing standard templates and processes created by governance to ensure project is following industry-best practices
• Be an Agile educator and evangelist to mold / evolve organizational culture from a sole Waterfall environment to one that uses Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid approaches pragmatically
Lead the department forecast/reporting function for the department
• Create analysis insights, dashboards and reports through modern tools
• Analyze best practices and create department governance documentation

Skills & Requirements

Critical Thinking, Process Management, Workflow Building, Requirements Capture, Stakeholder Communication, Microsoft Office + Lucid, Managing Schedules, Build / Lead UAT, Assist Training + Launch, Presentation Building, Data Analysis, Forecast Analysis, Alternative Solution Creation, Data Mapping and Whiteboarding

• Must have worked as a senior business analyst on several projects each with a total cost exceeding $5M
• Must have built and managed 15-50+ stakeholder relationships and needs containing simultaneous work-streams
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Must possess excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
• Must have demonstrated experience educating and guiding stakeholders while carrying out a full-range of business analysis skills in Waterfall, Hybrid and full Agile life cycle projects
• Direct experiences in enterprise risk management functions in the financial services, payment industry and/or regulatory agency
