About the Company

A global leader in the development and management of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects is looking to hire a Sr Accounting Manager to join their team!

Key Responsibilities

Lead the monthly close process for a portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects
Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting packages
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX requirements, and internal accounting policies
Partner with construction, asset management, and structured finance teams to support project accounting activities
Analyze complex accounting matters, including lease accounting, revenue recognition, and derivative transactions
Support quarterly and year-end reporting requirements for global stakeholders and executive leadership
Coordinate external audit activities and serve as a key point of contact for auditors
Review and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
Support board reporting and provide financial insights to guide investment and operational decisions
Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering collaboration across global finance teams
Assist with project finance transactions, tax equity structures, and infrastructure investments as needed
Participate in special projects related to acquisitions, new project launches, and strategic business initiatives

Qualifications

CPA required
8+ years of accounting experience within public accounting, energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or related industries
Strong expertise in US GAAP with IFRS experience preferred
Experience with complex accounting topics including lease accounting (ASC 842/IFRS 16), revenue recognition, and derivative accounting
Exposure to project finance, infrastructure investments, or tax equity structures is highly desirable
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Proven leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
