Optimize Systems. Build Relationships. Drive Growth.

Our client is a global provider of engineered systems used in critical production and processing environments. They partner directly with customers to design, improve, and optimize equipment and workflows where reliability and performance are essential to day-to-day operations.

They are now seeking a Sales Engineer to support growth across North America, with a focus on building strong relationships, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering practical, results-driven solutions.

This opportunity is designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering and commercial impact—someone who prefers solving operational challenges over simply selling products.

What you’ll do
  • Manage and expand a defined territory, developing relationships with a mix of regional operators and mid-sized organizations
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, including upgrades, retrofits, and efficiency enhancements
  • Work closely with customers to understand operational pain points and translate these into engineered solutions
  • Drive both new project revenue and ongoing service/aftermarket opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy and consistent pipeline of prospects and active projects
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are feasible and effective
  • Represent the business at client meetings, site visits, and select industry events
What you'll need to succeed
  • Approximately 7+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or a related field
  • Strong mechanical or systems-based understanding (equipment, plant operations, or similar environments)
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Comfortable working directly with operators, engineers, and leadership teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and accountability-driven
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% across North America

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive base salary with attractive performance-based incentives tied to both project delivery and recurring revenue
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off
  • Travel reimbursement or vehicle allowance to support your time in the field
  • Flexibility to work remotely with a home-based setup
