You will be joining a reputable NYC‑based building automation and energy services firm known for delivering high‑impact solutions across complex facilities. The organization specializes in building automation engineering, controls optimization, energy metering, and field engineering services, supporting major healthcare campuses, universities, pharmaceutical facilities, and industrial clients throughout the New York metro area. With a strong emphasis on hands‑on project delivery and technical expertise, the firm continues to expand its sales team to better serve its growing client base.

Your new role
  • Identify, target, and initiate relationships with prospective clients across critical facility sectors, building a strong network of industry contacts
  • Develop and manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and qualification through closing and long‑term account management
  • Engage clients to understand their financial, operational, and environmental objectives, and position tailored automation and energy solutions
  • Present and sell technical offerings with a consultative approach, focusing on delivering measurable value and ROI
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and proactively addressing evolving needs
  • Drive solution‑based sales for building automation, energy engineering, and operational optimization projects
  • Utilize sales tools and CRM systems to track pipeline activity, forecast opportunities, and improve account penetration
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and go‑to‑market initiatives to support business growth
  • Educate clients on innovative services and emerging technologies within the building automation and energy space
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in field sales, ideally within building systems, energy, or technical services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to sell consultative, solution‑based services and build long‑term client relationships
  • Ability to understand complex client needs and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a client‑facing, target‑driven environment
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales tracking tools preferred
  • Willingness to meet client site requirements, including potential health and safety compliance measures
