Position Overview:
The Resident Engineer serves as the on-site technical representative, ensuring that construction projects are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role bridges communication between contractors, clients, and the design team, providing real-time oversight and problem-solving to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and enforce quality control standards for materials and quality construction.
  • Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, facilitating smooth communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and any changes or issues encountered.
  • Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges, design discrepancies, and unforeseen site conditions promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and local regulations.
  • Budget & Schedule Monitoring: Assist in tracking project costs and timelines to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities meet local, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction supervision or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
