Project Manager – Site Development & Underground Utilities

A well‑respected civil contractor in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead site development, underground utility, and roadway infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential subdivision work.

This role is ideal for PMs who enjoy hands‑on project leadership, strong collaboration with field teams, and working in an environment that values trust, stability, and long‑term growth rather than short‑term churn.

Open to candidates located in Orlando, Lakeland, Kissimmee, Ocala, Gainesville, and surrounding Central Florida areas.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end‑to‑end delivery of site development and residential subdivision projects
Oversee mass earthwork, underground utilities, stormwater systems, roadway improvements, and paving scopes
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and documentation
Coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and ownership groups
Proactively troubleshoot field challenges and support operations with real‑time solutions
Ensure quality, safety, and contract compliance across all project phases

What Makes This Opportunity Attractive

Local work throughout Greater Orlando, Polk County, and surrounding Central Florida markets
Diverse project mix including commercial, municipal, industrial, and residential communities
Stable backlog supported by long‑standing client relationships
Leadership that empowers PMs, trusts their judgment, and respects field experience
Growth opportunities into larger site packages or senior PM roles as the company continues to expand
A professional culture built on honesty, teamwork, and supporting the field—not micromanagement

Qualifications

3–7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in site development or heavy civil construction
Experience with residential land development / subdivision infrastructure strongly preferred
Solid understanding of earthwork, utilities installation, roadway construction, and site sequencing
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multiple active scopes
Clear communicator with a collaborative, solution‑oriented leadership style
Candidates without hands‑on site development or underground utility PM experience will not be considered.

Above‑market compensation based on experience
Performance‑based bonus opportunities
Full benefits package
Strong long‑term career path with a growing Central Florida civil contractor
