Your new company
Our client is an established and highly respected mid-size General Contractor with a strong track record in complex multifamily developments who are seeking a Project Manager to join their team for a major affordable housing project in San Jose. This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-impact, high-visibility build serving the region’s most vulnerable seniors.
Your new role
As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of construction of a five-story, 100+ unit affordable housing development currently in progress. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, maintaining the project schedule and budget, ensuring site safety, and upholding quality standards in collaboration with a top-tier architectural team.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5–10 years of experience managing multifamily or Type III podium construction projects
- Proven ability to lead field teams and subcontractor coordination
- Strong communication skills and adept at working with architects, owners, and city officials
- Experience with affordable housing developments and public agency-funded projects is a plus
What you'll get in return
This build represents more than concrete and steel—it's a cornerstone of community transformation. The site will serve low-income and previously unhoused seniors with on-site supportive services, blending dignity, design, and long-term impact. Completion of this project will follow on with a pipeline of similar projects in the South Bay. Compensation & benefits include
- Competitive salary up to $160,000, DOE with experience
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- Supportive and collaborative team culture that values transparency and mutual respect
- Emphasis on work-life balance with flexible time off and sustainable workload expectations
