Project Manager — Commercial Construction | $120–150K base salary + Vehicle Allowance

Your new company

Join a respected general contractor known for delivering some of the region’s most complex and meaningful projects. With over six decades of steady growth, this organization has built a strong reputation in construction management, historic preservation, advanced technology facilities, secure government environments, higher education, healthcare, nonprofits, and mission‑critical defense work such as SCIFs and clean rooms.
Operating primarily within the greater Baltimore region, this company is recognized for its technical excellence, repeat‑client relationships, and exceptional stability. The culture is collaborative, close‑knit, and deeply invested in employee development.

Your new role

As a Project Manager, you will take full ownership of delivering complex construction projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with a dedicated Field Superintendent and report directly to a Project Executive while leading all project administration, coordination, and client‑facing responsibilities.
Projects are typically located within one hour of the office and involve highly technical environments such as R&D facilities, academic buildings, secure government spaces, laboratories, and historic structures ranging from $30M–$60M.
This is an in-office role. The PM will be based out of the office 5 days a week in Baltimore, MD.

Your work will include:
  • Leading project planning, financial management, and schedule oversight
  • Managing subcontractor scope development, procurement, and contract administration
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients—critical in a business built on repeat work
  • Driving project documentation, including change management, sequencing, LEED/BIM coordination (where applicable), commissioning activities, and closeout.
  • Overseeing planning and phasing, design team coordination, problem‑solving, and best‑value solutions
  • Participating in pre-construction services when required, including budgeting, value engineering, constructability reviews, and alternatives analysis
  • Ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control expectations, and overall craftsmanship excellence

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing construction projects
  • A four‑year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in institutional, government, R&D, SCIF, clean room, or CM‑at‑Risk project delivery is a plus.
  • Proven ability to run projects independently, with both leadership and foresight
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to tools such as PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, or Sage Timberline is a plus.

What you'll get in return

  • Base Salary $120,000–$150,000, dependent on experience
  • Car allowance and company gas card
  • Comprehensive benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, Retirement Plan options, supplemental voluntary benefits, EAP, and paid vacation.
  • A culture rooted in stability, respect, and long‑term growth
  • The opportunity to manage impactful, high‑profile, technically challenging projects throughout the region
