Role Overview:
The Construction Project Manager for airport projects is responsible for overseeing the development, planning, and execution of construction initiatives related to airports. This role involves managing land-side projects, coordinating with contractors and designers, and ensuring successful project delivery within specified timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Oversight:
    • Manage major renovation programs at airports, including building expansions, utility upgrades, civil/horizontal work, and other enabling projects.
    • Provide oversight for construction management in risk procurement processes.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  2. Coordination and Collaboration:
    • Coordinate efforts among multiple stakeholders, including contractors, designers, and airport tenants.
    • Interact with government regulatory agencies to address compliance requirements.
    • Collaborate with airport management and other relevant parties.
  3. Design Review and Planning:
    • Review and comment on design submittals.
    • Recommend appropriate planning options based on project requirements.
    • Advise clients on consultant selection.
  4. Contract Administration:
    • Administer contracts, including cost estimates, purchasing/bidding, bid evaluation, and vendor/contractor recommendations.
    • Conduct construction inspections, progress payments, and job close-outs.
    • Maintain proper project documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of managing construction projects, particularly within airport environments.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols related to construction.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
