Your new company
A well-established civil contractor with a strong presence across the Greater Houston area and Gulf Coast. The business specializes in site development and underground utilities, delivering projects for municipal, private, and industrial clients. With a healthy backlog and long-standing client relationships, the company is focused on sustainable growth, safety, and operational excellence.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of sitework and utility projects from pre-construction through closeout across the Houston metro (I‑10 East/West corridors and surrounding counties). You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within margin.
- Managing multiple civil/site development and underground utility projects (earthwork, grading, drainage, water/sewer, paving).
- Leading project planning, cost control, and schedule management using tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and P6/MS Project.
- Coordinating closely with Superintendents, field teams, and subcontractors to drive production and resolve issues.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for owners, consultants, and inspectors (municipalities, counties, private developers).
- Overseeing procurement, change orders, RFIs, and contract administration.
- Ensuring full compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and local regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5–10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, sitework, or underground utilities.
- Proven track record delivering projects in Texas (Houston/Gulf Coast experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods including earthwork, drainage, stormwater, and wet utilities.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and project financials with a focus on margin performance.
- Familiarity with industry software (Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, P6 or MS Project).
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll get in return
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus structure.
- Company vehicle or allowance, plus comprehensive benefits package.
- Opportunity to work on high-profile Houston-area infrastructure and development projects.
- Clear career progression within a growing organization.
- A collaborative, performance-driven environment with strong leadership support.
