Project Manager – Complex Residential Upgrades | San Francisco

Our client is a global Real Estate services firm in the market to hire a hands‑on Project Manager supporting a large, occupied residential portfolio in San Francisco. This is a field construction focused role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, making real‑time decisions, and coordinating multiple renovation and capital improvement projects in a live environment.


Your new role

As the Project Manager, you’ll manage and coordinate a variety of capital and building improvement projects with budgets ranging from $100k - $4M, including:

  • Boiler replacements
  • Large‑scale painting & waterproofing programs
  • Window replacement & resealing
  • Door replacements, dry rot remediation, and unit turns
  • Electrical infrastructure upgrades (including utility coordination)
  • Permitting, compliance, and notices of violation
The role is not highly technical or overengineering, but success comes from strong onsite presence, coordination, communication, and sound judgment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be a hands‑on Project Manager with strong onsite leadership.
  • Experience with renovations, interiors, rehab, or occupied buildings
  • Background can be commercial or residential (ground‑up not required)
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple scopes
  • Strong communicator with the ability to make decisions in the field
