Position:

Construction Project Manager - Heavy-Civil

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of site-based construction projects—from pre-construction planning through final client handoff. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and financial oversight to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project goals, procedures, and performance benchmarks in alignment with company standards.
  • Coordinate with on-site leadership to maintain schedule and budget adherence; proactively address and resolve issues.
  • Act as the primary representative in project-related meetings and strategic labor discussions.
  • Manage contract financials to safeguard company interests while fostering positive client relationships.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
  • Conduct initial client consultations to determine scope, resources, and project feasibility.
  • Develop comprehensive project estimates, including analysis of specifications, drawings, and materials.
  • Lead the full construction effort, ensuring alignment with design intent, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Oversee site operations including scheduling, engineering, and material logistics; may also guide administrative staff in procurement and accounting.
  • Supervise field teams and subcontractors as required.
  • Provide technical guidance on construction methods, equipment selection, and drawing interpretation.
  • Manage change orders and additional work estimates.
  • Ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment to meet contractual obligations.

Team Leadership:

  • May oversee up to 20 supervisors and manage crews totaling approximately 200 personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in construction practices, project design, financial management, and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to implement effective management strategies that enhance team performance.
  • Deep understanding of industry standards, corporate procedures, and construction methodologies.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in construction management, estimating, or field supervision within similar project environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction technologies, labor agreements, scheduling, safety protocols, and estimating practices.
