Hays is currently working for one of the top civil general contractors in New York City, who has been in business for over 30 years. This company works on large design-build projects ranging in value from 50 million dollars to 300 million dollars for the MTA, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and ConEd. They are in need of a Project Engineer with structural steel experience to join an exciting bridge project in New York City. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure projects adhere to design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
