Our client, a leading Bay Area General Contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to support civil and infrastructure upgrades at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This is a unique opportunity to gain experience on high-profile, technically complex projects within a highly regulated airport environment—working across airside operations, utilities, and infrastructure improvements.

Your new role

You’ll play a key role supporting project delivery across multiple civil and infrastructure scopes within an active airport setting. You will:

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Support budget tracking, cost control, and change orders
• Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and airport stakeholders
• Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
• Participate in OAC meetings and field coordination
• Support procurement and subcontractor buyout processes
• Assist with project closeout and turnover

This role provides strong exposure to civil construction, utilities, and complex stakeholder coordination, helping build a solid foundation in infrastructure delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

• 1–5 years of construction experience (Project Engineer or similar)
• Background in civil, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and coordination workflows
• Ability to work within a safety-critical, regulated environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
