Our Client is seeking a Product Engineering - Manufacturing in Morgan Hill, CA.

Role Description

• Partner with cross functional team in the US and Asia to identify, implement and manage continuous improvement projects for manufacturability, yield, performance, quality and reliability for our RF products.
• Support operations teams at Morgan Hill, CA and the contract Manufacturing locations in Asia for assembly, burn-in and final test.
• Manage and qualify production processes change or optimization.
• Provide spec. management and quality supports (audit & customer returns).
• Hold lot dispositions and drive final test yield improvements.
• Working with FAB and test engineers for wafer processing improvement and probe/final test solution optimization if needed.
• Participate in design and product to ensure design for manufacturability best practices are followed.
• Ramp new products released from R&D to production while monitoring performance and driving improvements.
• Partner with Planning on short and long-term forecasts to review capacity versus demand and ensure actions are in place to support demand.
• Participate in RMA, MRB and PCRB activities
• Develop continuous improvement plans (CIP) on existing manufacturing processes to increase first pass yield
• Provide device expertise and guidance by supporting back-end assembly and test by interacting with front-end process engineering teams including Epi, Fab, and post fab processing teams.
• Some international and domestic travel may be required.

Skills & Requirements

• MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (with curriculum emphasis in RF or microwave technology), Material Science, or related field with minimum of 5 years of product engineering experience.
• Product or Process engineering experience in a production semiconductor environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of RF testing.
• Knowledge of RF semiconductor devices and the underlying semiconductor device physics
• Demonstrated understanding of semiconductor assembly processes including die attach, wire bonding, and encapsulation.
• Demonstrated understanding of semiconductor device manufacturing including ion implantation, diffusion, photolithography, wet and dry etch, wafer thinning, and thin film deposition.
• Extensive experience with statistical data analysis of both large and small data sets using JMP.
• Exhibit an open, positive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership skills to successfully drive small teams and cross-functional projects.
• Working knowledge of Statistics Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D & 5-Whys Problem solving
• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites (once the company deems it safe to do so)
• Strong motivation and ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and business environments
• This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
