Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee flood control projects, utilizing your expertise in structural engineering and flood control infrastructure design.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting them in preparing structural design calculations, documentation reports, and engineering plans.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of structural plans, specifications, and calculations.
- Contribute to project pursuits, including proposal development and preliminary structural engineering design activities.
- Collaborate with a variety of engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure adherence to company practices and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
- Technical Design experience with a variety of Flood / Water Resiliency solutions including T and L-type concrete floodwalls, combi wall, roadway access gates, hydraulic closure structures, vertical lift gates, Tainter gates and sluice gates, stormwater/drainage pump stations, outfall structures, retaining walls, small scale control buildings, shallow and deep foundations (piles, drilled shafts) etc.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in structural design, including steel, concrete, and FRP.
- Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, and Mathcad.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Knowledge of collaborative environments such as Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360.
- Familiarity with USACE Specs Intact, engineering manuals, and unified guide specs.
- Strong project/task management skills.
- USACE civil works design experience.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, FEMA guidance, USACE engineering manuals, and technical guidance documents.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- A competitive salary in the range of $150,000 - $170,000 plus leading industry benefits and performance bonuses negotiable based on experience.
