Excellent Senior Pre-Construction Manager Position

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead the planning and estimating efforts for large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is pivotal in shaping project success by providing accurate budgets, schedules, and constructability reviews during the pre-construction phase. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex commercial projects and collaborating with clients, architects, and internal teams to deliver world-class results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction Leadership: Oversee all pre-construction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk analysis for major commercial projects.
  • Estimating & Cost Control: Develop detailed cost estimates and value engineering options to meet client objectives without compromising quality.
  • Design Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design feasibility and alignment with budget and schedule.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting pre-construction strategies and recommendations.
  • Team Management: Mentor and lead pre-construction staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Bid Management: Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid analysis, and scope reviews for competitive and comprehensive proposals.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential challenges early and develop proactive solutions to minimize impact on cost and schedule.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior pre-construction or estimating leadership role.
  • Project Scope: Experience with large-scale commercial projects (e.g., high-rise office, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use developments).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Sage, ProEst, WinEst) and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
