Our client is seeking a PR Manager in Boston, MA.
Role Description
The PR Manager will lead external communications strategies to enhance brand visibility, manage media relations, and support corporate reputation in the biotech and life sciences sector. This role requires a proactive communicator with deep understanding of scientific innovation and the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives.
• Develop and execute PR strategies aligned with corporate objectives and product milestones.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
• Draft press releases, media kits, and thought leadership content for scientific and business audiences.
• Manage crisis communications and ensure consistent messaging across channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Investor Relations) to align messaging.
• Monitor media coverage and provide analytics on PR campaign performance.
• Support event planning for conferences, investor meetings, and product launches.
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of PR experience, ideally in biotech, pharma, or healthcare.
• Strong media relations network within life sciences and healthcare sectors.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with ability to simplify scientific content.
• Experience managing agencies and external vendors.
• Knowledge of regulatory considerations for biotech communications (FDA, EMA guidelines).
• Familiarity with investor relations and corporate communications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proficiency in digital PR tools and social media platforms.
