Our client is seeking a Network MS Customer Engineer in Ladson, SC

Role Description

What is the role doing? (For example, deployment, configuration, support) (Smart H&F) supporting all things network related at Mercedes-Benz Vans manufacturing plant.

• Supporting all network-related activities at the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing plant (Smart H&F).
• Ability to follow network troubleshooting discussions.
• Focus on team issues without distraction.
• Engage with SMEs and offshore teams.
• Complete tasks within assigned shift hours.
• Communicate with customers via email and status reports.

Skills & Requirements

• Preferred CISCO CCNA with 3+ years networking experience minimum.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
• CISCO Routing and Switching
• Strong communication, technical, and interpersonal skills for a customer-facing role.
• Fiber path planning & cabling; rack mounting hardware; IOS upgrades and configuration loads.
• Understanding of basic network design (access, distribution, core).
• Cisco CLI preferred.
• What is the technical environment, & minimum (technical) skills/experience needed? CISCO CCT required w/ (1+) year networking experience minimal. Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Are there any professional accreditations required for the role? CISCO CCNA (preferred).
• What are the ‘nice to have’ skills/experience? Fiber path planning & cabling; rack mounting hardware; IOS upgrades and configuration loads.
• Does the resource need experience of working in any particular sector? Cisco CLI preferred.
• Will the resource be working alone or in a team? Team.
• If available, can local resource be used? Yes, this would be the ideal choice.
• Can the work be done remotely? No; shift assignment is for MON-FRI 09:00-18:00 [40hour/weekly]; including (1) hour unpaid break.
• Additionally, this is a flex schedule to cover first and second shift when colleagues are on PTO (sick or vacation days)
• Every other weekend on-call duty and weekend project work (if needed).
• Is the person expected to travel for the role? (Travel arrangements need to be discussed with the service provider in advance) Travel to support Spoke locations (if needed).
