Our client is seeking an Network Engineer III in Greenwood Village, CO.

Role Description

We are seeking a Network Engineer III to support lab infrastructure builds with a strong emphasis on Layer 1 execution, cable management, and physical network quality. This role is ideal for a highly hands-on technical professional who takes pride in building clean, organized, and dependable lab environments that enable engineering teams to test efficiently and with confidence.
This position is heavily focused on the physical side of network engineering. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cabling, terminations, labeling, equipment installation, and overall build quality. We are looking for someone who values precision, consistency, and workmanship — someone who understands that well-built infrastructure is critical to the success of the lab and the teams that rely on it.
The Network Engineer III will be responsible for supporting the buildout, organization, and maintenance of lab-based network environments. This includes installing and managing physical cabling, wiring equipment, labeling infrastructure, and ensuring all builds meet a high standard of quality and documentation.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong cable installation, field technician, fiber, or infrastructure background who enjoys hands-on technical work and takes ownership of delivering polished, professional results.

• Perform Layer 1 network build work in lab environments, including cable routing, fittings, equipment wiring, and physical connectivity
• Install, terminate, test, and manage:
• Coax cabling
• Cat5/Cat6 cabling
• Fiber cabling
• Support ONU installation, connectivity, and physical setup within the lab environment
• Label, identify, and organize:
• Network equipment
• Modems
• ONUs
• Cabling and patching infrastructure
• Build and maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented lab environments
• Support engineering and testing teams by ensuring infrastructure is installed correctly and ready for use
• Follow established standards for cable management, labeling, and physical documentation
• Maintain a professional, orderly lab environment that supports efficient troubleshooting and repeatable testing
• Work closely with team members while maintaining ownership of Layer 1 execution and build quality

Skills & Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Layer 1 network infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience with:
• Coax cabling and termination
• Cat5/Cat6 cabling
• Fiber installation and handling
• Experience working with ONUs in a lab, field, or network environment
• Ability to label, organize, and document physical network builds accurately
• Basic computer skills and comfort working in a technical lab environment
• Experience working in a lab, headend, or testing environment
• Background in cable installation, field operations, or network infrastructure support
• Familiarity with fiber connectivity, ONU deployment, and structured cabling best practices
• Experience supporting broadband or access network environments
