Our client is seeking a Network Engineer for a Remote opportunity.

Role Description

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Network Engineer to deploy and configure network infrastructure components, including NAC, routers, switches, and wireless solutions.
• They are responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of network projects, adhering to established standards and best practices.
• A key area of focus will be the deployment and configuration of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for Network Access Control (NAC) and TACACS+.
• The successful candidate possesses a strong technical foundation in networking, excellent troubleshooting skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality results, and experience with industry-specific deployment methodologies.
• Deploy and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, following industry-standard deployment procedures and best practices.
• Implement and configure Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for Network Access Control (NAC) and TACACS+, ensuring secure access to network resources.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, using industry-standard troubleshooting tools and techniques.
• Perform network testing and validation, ensuring that the network meets performance and security requirements, including validating NAC and TACACS+ configurations.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, adhering to industry-specific documentation standards.
• Adhere to established network standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and compliance across the network, including NAC and TACACS+ policies.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services, following industry-standard integration practices.
• Provide on-site and remote support for network deployments, resolving any issues that arise during the deployment process, including NAC and TACACS+ related problems.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or deployment, with experience in Automotive technology manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, wireless), and their application in specific industry contexts.
• Experience with network hardware from Cisco, Juniper, or other major vendors, and the ability to configure and troubleshoot these devices.
• Proven experience implementing and troubleshooting Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for NAC and TACACS+.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including NAC and TACACS+ related problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP Security) preferred.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, NERC CIP)
